PSR Notes
Alleluia! He is risen! One solid truth in our life is that we ARE the Easter people!
We pray that your entire Eastertide--those 50 days beginning with the Resurrection and ending with Pentecost--will be wonderful! The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has a wonderful description of "What is Easter?" that you can access in our Links section! Let us all continue to pray together to teach our young ones about the importance of prayer, sacrifice, and faith in our lives.
PSR registration for 2021-22 is open! Our theme is "Welcome Home!" and there will be many fun, exciting events for children and youth of all ages! You can register by clicking the link to the right.
We thank the Lord for our experiences during several wonderful Youth Events during Lent, including Youth Adoration and Youth Stations of the Cross! These events were educational and fun, and we will be holding more! Check our YOUTH MINISTRY page for new events as they become available, including CATHOLIC YOUTH SUMMER CAMP!, VBS, High School Hangouts and Service Projects, and St. Mark's INCREDIBLE PICNIC!
Finally, we ask that you please pray with St. Mark’s PSR/Youth Ministry Staff for the three children who will be making their First Reconciliation on May 18 and First Communion on May 23.
Love in Christ's name,
Debra Kaminski, M.Ed.,CID

Vacation Bible School is a GO!!
This year's theme is:
A Radical Ride on the Wings of a Prayer...with Amazing Angels & Super Saints
Since the pandemic school closures, children have been exposed to more time online than ever before. This brings up the questions, "How do children know if an online situation is safe?" and "When do you need to tell a grown-up?"
Concern for their safety is what prompted the organization behind NetSmartzKids to create a kid-friendly site that serves a higher purpose. Their site contains games, videos, activities, and most importantly, lessons for children about online netiquette, cyber bullying, and when to tell a grown up about something that is just not right.
